Symphony No. 5
People my find it odd, but if there's one type of music I listen to a lot, it's classical and I'm a nut for Beethoven. It goes all the way back to when I was kid and I did a report on Beethoven for like fifth grade. Mom and I went down to the store and bought an record (show of hands, who still has a record?) and from that time on, it's been a love affair. I also remeber seeing some of Beehtoven's music played at my favorite place of all time, The Hollywood Bowl. (btw, if you ever do have the chance, drop whatever you're doing and go see a Hollywood Bowl Fourth of July show, seen that at least a dozen times). I can also tell you that my music choice at work tends to be classical and / or jazz.
Symphony No. 9, part 1
Symphony No. 7
And by far the masterpiece of all time (sorry, don't have the long version on youtube, but you can find it)
Ode to Joy - Finale
Next week - Musicals :)

Fixed! Thank you for those who pointed it out, no idea what happened. I just cut it shorter and it was fine. :P
Nothing huge, just the Critters getting ready for the Mountain View parade. If you listen, you can hear the famous skunky giggle.
The day started off doing the Moutain View Parade with the Critters, and for some reason, they wouldn't let us use the CalTrain station as a changing area. They also did not let any of the other groups that normal use the CalTrain station to set up their either. I have a feeling that the city of Mountian View will be making a phone call to The Gavin about it. The parade went fine and the weather was a little warmer then most years, but the crowd was bigger then last year and we where way up front this year. We had a good 20 something critters in the parade this year, a few of which I didn't even know who they where. Flint and I left early because we had to go set up for the Costume Con room party we where setting up.

I think the next Klingon party I go to, I'm only sticking with one drink. Damm, they had a nice party going on. The only issue we had was that the Costume Con masquerade went long and even though we opened our doors at around 7pm, we didn't get much of a crowd until at least after 1030 or so. I meet some new folks I havn't meet before and we had a decent crowd thoughtout the night. Costume Con was certianly a different crowd then your sci-fi con because it was mostly woman and a mix of fantasy and re-creation people.

Happy Birthday snuggly
penh, we love you ! :)
Well, as some of you know, I'm not a HUGE gamer. I tend to like the platform games a lot better because I don't have to buy and uber video card or drop $1,000 on my PC just to updated it so I can play whatever the flavor of the time is. I also like my handheld, and playing RPGs on my DS has been endless fun and I loved "FFF:Chocobo Tales" for the DS. The only four games on my PC are, WoW, Portal, TF2 and AudioSurf and the PC I have is more of a workstation PC sense I spend most of my free time on 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and Illustrator doing stuff for my 3d class.
I love Portal and it's the first game in quite a few years that I've played though more then once, and also played it on the 360, so yes, I love me some Portal. I play WoW once a week with some friends and I love that too, mostly because I like the social thing. It's nice to hang out with friends and kill stuff, it's like the old pen and paper days, but more shiny. The only game that just sits on my dock is TF2 and that's because it's multiplayer. It looks cool and I've tried playing it, but I feel so noobish because the last couple of times, I had no idea what was going on because I didn't get the lingo, so I logged off because I didn't want to mess up the game. Be nice if I could find a intro server sometime just to learn the ropes.
I'm also waiting for Lost Oddessy to go down a little in price....as well as me having some free time to play it. Also waiting for Castle Crashers to come out.

Goodbye
My mother said that my fansination with science fiction started when she saw "2001" in the theaters when it first came out while she was still pregrant with me. When I was a kid, one of the first science fiction books I read was "2001", then "2010", "2061" and "3001". I remeber reading the first book around when I was about 10 or 11, that was 1980 or so and the year 2001 was eons away for me. The book talked about flights to the moon and even a manned mission to Juipter along with A.I. created computers and a world where the fancination of space had never died off. I also got intrested in Arthur C. Clarke himself and learned a lot about him. Arthur was one of the founders of the idea of telecommunications and wrote about statellites years before any of them ever happened as well as wrote about space elevators and a "global library" in short stories.
He will be missed...
